Peer Review Process

The Health and Technology Journal (HTECHJ) employs a double-anonymous peer-review process to maintain the confidentiality and impartiality of the review.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, ethical requirements, and basic scientific quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected without external review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent external reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on its scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, clarity of presentation, significance of the findings, and contribution to the field.

During the review process, the identities of both the authors and reviewers are concealed from each other. Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and confidential evaluations and to disclose any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.

The initial peer-review process typically takes 3–4 weeks, though the duration may vary depending on reviewer availability and the manuscript's complexity. Reviewer recommendations may include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Authors are required to respond to reviewers’ comments and submit a revised manuscript when requested. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief or responsible editor based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of the revised manuscript, compliance with journal policies, and overall scientific merit. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by the publisher or any commercial considerations.
