LKS is a teaching material that is applied by teachers to transfer information in a more practical and interesting form, especially by making it easier for students to receive information. This LKS was created by incorporating the Islamic context of the Qur'an. Developing worksheets by linking everyday problems is felt to be very necessary to train students' logical, critical, and rational thinking. Madrasas are synonymous with an Islamic background, so there is a need for worksheets that can facilitate the uniqueness of students, accommodate appropriate levels of action and thinking, and accommodate contextualization with their daily lives and religious lives without forgetting the essential needs of their mathematical abilities. This research is called research and development (R&D). Development is carried out using the ADDIE stages: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. To determine the feasibility of this study using validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests, Validity tests were carried out by math content experts, Al-Qur'an content experts, linguists, and design experts. The results of the validity test obtained 87.33%, so they meet very valid criteria. While the results of the practicality test by students were 86.56%, the results of the practicality test by practical teachers were 94.44%, and based on these results, it met the very practical criteria. And the results of the effectiveness analysis show that the percentage of classical effectiveness is 83,00%, so it can be said to meet the criteria for being effective. Thus, the developed LKS product meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
Rifda Izza Amin Fadlillah Indah L. Mursyidah Adinda B. Afnenda Nanang H. The Qur'an is also the main source of Islamic teachings and a guide to life for every Muslim. There are various ways to interact with it, such as reading it, studying the laws of reading it, contemplating it, memorizing it, studying its interpretation and teaching it because all of that is considered worship. However, nowadays, there are few teenagers who are interested in studying the Qur'an. They prefer to splurge, spend their time on useless things and this affects their enthusiasm for learning. After seeing the problems above, the tahfidz halaqoh is expected to be a means to get closer to the Qur'an again and to increase students' enthusiasm for learning. The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical data and valid and reliable facts about whether there is an influence of the tahfidz halaqoh at the beginning of learning in increasing the enthusiasm for learning of class VIII students at the Islamic Junior High School (IJHS) Al-Ghuroba, Sorong Regency, West Papua. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The population in this study were all students of class VIII of Islamic Junior High School (IJHS) Al-Ghuroba, Sorong Regency, West Papua. The sample of this study was the entire population selected (55 students) because it did not reach 100 populations. Data analysis used was by using statistical analysis and analysis, namely simple linear regression analysis using SPSS. The results of the study stated that there was a sufficient relationship of 24.7% between the influence of the tahfidz halaqoh at the beginning of learning in increasing the enthusiasm for learning of class VIII students at Islamic Junior High School (IJHS) Al-Ghuroba, Sorong Regency, West Papua with a correlation value of Learning Motivation of 0.497. This means that the tahfidz halaqoh at the beginning of learning has a relationship with learning motivation but with a sufficient level of relationship because it is at a correlation level of 0.40 - 0.60. This shows that the better the tahfidz halaqoh at the beginning of learning, the better the students' learning motivation will be.
Siti Lailatul Maghfiroh Rita Anisaturrizqi Copyright (c) 2025 International Islamic Studies Journal (ISSJ) 2025-07-02 2025-07-02 1 1 16 24 Mapping global trends and collaboration in mathematics education research: A Temporal and geographical analysis (2014–2024) https://journalkhd.com/ojs/index.php/issj/article/view/398
This study analyzes global trends and collaboration in mathematics education research from 2014 to 2024 using a bibliometric approach. The findings reveal a significant rise in publication numbers, peaking in 2020 before stabilizing in recent years. Indonesia and Malaysia are leading contributors, with increasing involvement from countries such as Turkey, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. International collaboration has expanded, supported by influential institutions like Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and Universitas Syiah Kuala. Thematic shifts are evident, moving from traditional pedagogical methods toward integration with STEM, technology, and international assessments such as PISA and TIMSS. The collaborative network analysis highlights key contributors like S. Huda and M. Broer as influential figures in the research community. These results emphasize the importance of cross-border and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing global innovation and effectiveness in mathematics education, providing valuable insights for academics, policymakers, and practitioners in shaping more inclusive and sustainable teaching and research strategies.
Prima Crismono Achmad Faisol Djoko Supriatno Muhammad Ilyas Elga Yanuardianto Copyright (c) 2025 International Islamic Studies Journal (ISSJ) 2025-07-02 2025-07-02 1 1 25 43 The influence of pesantren-based students’ self-concept on errors in solving basic geometry problems https://journalkhd.com/ojs/index.php/issj/article/view/401
This study aims to describe the types of errors and identify the factors causing errors in solving geometry problems from the perspective of students’ self-concept. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects were students from Class A of the Mathematics Education Study Program in the 2022/2023 academic year who had received material on the geometry subtopic “basic construction justified.” Data collection techniques included questionnaires, problem-solving tests, and interviews. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured using triangulation through the results of tests and interviews. The results of the study indicate that (1) students with a positive self-concept made errors such as comprehension errors, process skill errors, and errors in encoding or writing the final answer. These were caused by two factors: an inability to fully understand the given information and a lack of experience in solving non-routine geometry problems. (2) Students with a negative self-concept made errors such as reading errors, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors, and errors in writing conclusions. The factors causing these errors were (a) inadequate understanding of geometry material, (b) weak prerequisite knowledge, and (c) carelessness in solving geometry problems.
Nanang Hadi Hariyanto Rifda Izza Adinda Beauty Afnenda Copyright (c) 2025 International Islamic Studies Journal (ISSJ) 2025-07-02 2025-07-02 1 1 44 53 The development of comic-based geometry teaching materials in an Islamic Elementary School https://journalkhd.com/ojs/index.php/issj/article/view/402
This research aims to develop comic-based mathematics teaching materials on the material of geometry in mathematics subjects. Comic teaching materials include content that discusses the basic ability to understand the material of geometry in grade 1 Islamic elementary school. This research uses the (Research and Development) R&D approach with the ASSURE model which has 6 stages of the process, namely: analyze learners, select objectives, select media & materials, utilize media & materials, require learner participation, evaluate & revise. This research only describes the development stage, because conditions do not allow using all stages. The data collection technique used questionnaires and interviews. The data collection instrument is a validation sheet for material experts, media experts, and learning design experts. Based on the research results, 78% of the material validation results fall into the good or practical category. Media validation findings obtained 83%, so it is in the very good category. The findings of learning design expert validation with a percentage of 90% are classified in the excellent category. Thus, it can be stated that comic teaching materials on the material of geometry in the discipline of mathematics can be used in the learning process at school.
Litsa Nailul Fauziyah Copyright (c) 2025 International Islamic Studies Journal (ISSJ) 2025-07-02 2025-07-02 1 1 54 62
