About the Journal

International Journal of Health (IJH) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that advances research and scholarship on population health and health systems. IJH publishes original research and systematic reviews addressing global and comparative health, epidemiology, public health policy, healthcare systems and services, environmental and occupational health, health economics, health equity, and access to care. The journal also welcomes work on health promotion, disease prevention, outbreak control, and maternal, child, and family health across diverse communities and settings. IJH prioritizes evidence with relevance to public health action, health policy, and the development of more effective and equitable health systems. By bringing together perspectives from different countries and contexts, the journal aims to connect local evidence with wider health priorities. The journal is published twice a year, in May and November.
