Manuscript Types
The Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY) publishes scholarly articles on community engagement, community empowerment, education, health promotion, prevention, applied research, and sustainable community development. The journal welcomes multidisciplinary contributions that address community needs through evidence-informed interventions, meaningful participation, innovation, and measurable outcomes.
JCEMTY accepts the following manuscript types.
- Original Community Engagement Articles
These articles report the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community engagement, community service, educational, health promotion, or empowerment activities.
Manuscripts should include:
- A clear description of the community problem and identified needs.
- The objectives and rationale for the intervention.
- The methods, implementation stages, and community participation.
- Evaluation procedures and actual outcomes.
- Discussion of findings, limitations, and implications for community development.
Reports that merely describe activities without adequate evaluation, critical analysis, or a clear contribution are not suitable.
- Community Empowerment and Development Articles
These articles examine community-based development, capacity building, participatory initiatives, institutional strengthening, technological innovation, or multisectoral empowerment programs.
Manuscripts should demonstrate:
- Active involvement of relevant community stakeholders.
- A clear approach to strengthening community capacity or addressing local needs.
- Evidence of program implementation and outcomes.
- Potential for sustainability, replication, or wider application.
Contributions may address health, education, agriculture, technology, social development, and other fields relevant to community empowerment.
- Review Articles
Review articles critically synthesize existing literature on community engagement, empowerment, development, or related multidisciplinary topics.
Manuscripts should provide:
- A clear review objective and scope.
- An appropriate and transparent literature selection process.
- Critical synthesis of relevant findings rather than descriptive summaries alone.
- Identification of knowledge gaps, practical implications, or directions for future research.
Systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and other rigorous scholarly reviews are welcome when relevant to the journal's scope.
- Editorial Assessment and Peer Review
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening to assess relevance, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and adherence to the journal's author guidelines.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening proceed to peer review in accordance with JCEMTY's Peer Review Process policy. Acceptance depends on scholarly quality, methodological transparency, relevance, and contribution to community engagement and empowerment.
- General Requirements
All submitted manuscripts must:
- Fit the journal's focus and scope.
- Be original and not under consideration by another journal.
- Present methods and outcomes transparently.
- Comply with applicable research ethics and publication policies.
- Include appropriate author contributions, funding declarations, and conflict-of-interest disclosures, as applicable.
- Follow the journal's Author Guidelines and manuscript template.
Authors should select the most appropriate manuscript type during submission. If the category is unclear, they are encouraged to contact the editorial office before submitting.
