Post-Publication Discussion Policy

The Journal of Community Empowerment for Multidisciplinary (JCEMTY) encourages constructive, evidence-based scholarly discussion of published articles. Post-publication discussion allows readers and researchers to clarify findings, examine research methods, present alternative interpretations, and contribute to the development of knowledge in community engagement and multidisciplinary research.

1. Scope of Discussion

JCEMTY welcomes scholarly comments on published articles concerning:

  • Research methods, data analysis, and findings.
  • Theoretical frameworks and interpretations.
  • Limitations and implications of the research.
  • The accuracy of references, data, and conclusions.
  • The relevance of findings to community empowerment and professional practice.

Comments must be relevant to the original article, supported by evidence, and written in a professional and respectful manner. The journal does not accept personal attacks, defamatory statements, unsupported accusations, or comments intended to pursue personal or institutional disputes.

2. Submission of Comments

Readers wishing to comment on a published article may submit a Letter to the Editor through the journal's submission system or contact the editorial office. Submissions should include:

  1. The title and DOI of the article being discussed, where available.
  2. A clear explanation of the issue or argument.
  3. Supporting evidence and relevant references.
  4. The author's name, affiliation, and contact information.
  5. A declaration of relevant conflicts of interest.

Submissions must be original and must not be under consideration by another journal.

3. Editorial Assessment

The editorial team evaluates each submission for relevance, scholarly merit, clarity, supporting evidence, and compliance with publication ethics. The editor may request revisions, consult independent experts, or reject submissions that lack a substantive scholarly contribution. All editorial decisions are made impartially and independently of personal, institutional, or commercial interests.

4. Authors' Right of Reply

When a comment is considered suitable for publication, the original author(s) will normally be invited to respond. The response should address the issues raised with appropriate evidence and scholarly reasoning. Authors may disagree with the comments, provided that their response remains professional and evidence-based. If the original author(s) decline to respond or do not respond within the period specified by the editor, JCEMTY may proceed with publication of the comment when appropriate.

5. Publication of Discussions

Accepted comments and author responses may be published as separate scholarly contributions and linked to the original article where technically possible. Publication is subject to editorial approval and the journal's applicable publication procedures. The publication of a comment or response does not necessarily indicate endorsement by JCEMTY of the views expressed.

6. Errors and Research Integrity Concerns

If a post-publication discussion identifies a potential error affecting the accuracy or reliability of a published article, the editorial team will assess the matter under the journal's correction and retraction policies. Concerns involving plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or other suspected research misconduct must be reported to the editorial office and will be handled confidentially under the journal's research misconduct policy. Scientific disagreement alone is not grounds for correction or retraction.

7. Editorial Commitment

JCEMTY is committed to fair, transparent, and responsible scholarly communication. All post-publication discussions will be handled with due consideration for academic freedom, professional conduct, and the integrity of the scholarly record.
